The 15th edition proved to be another exciting event with many breath taking games during both round robin play and the playoffs. This year the tournament was staged at WTHL Place. The annual Cancer Fundraiser tournament for Manitoba CancerCare held by the WTHL was a tournament for the ages. Sal Capizzi captured the Royal Retros WTHL Challenge Cup trophy for a record 8th straight year by first taking down Dean Turman in the Quarter Finals, Brian Clement in the Semi Finals before soundly defeating Tony Capizzi 6-1 in the finals. In the 3rd place game, Brian Clement defeated Jay Cesmystruk 3-2 in OT. The WTHL would like to thank all their sponsors for their support of the 2026 Royal Retros WTHL Challenge Cup. Preparations are already underway for the 2027 WTHL Challenge Cup to be held February 21, 2027 at WTHL Place. Each year the WTHL with assistance of their sponsors try to do their small part in the fight against cancer and put on the annual WTHL Challenge Cup tournament with 100% of the proceeds going towards Manitoba CancerCare.
