1989 - The Winnipeg Table Hockey League (WTHL) was officially established following years of exhibition table hockey matches played between several members of the league from 1965 - 1988. Sal Capizzi, Tony Capizzi, Mike Capizzi, Antonio Capizzi, Brian Clement and Zachary Mesman were the original six players. Sal Capizzi was elected president of the newly formed league. The first official WTHL game is played on a 1985 Coleco 5380 game in January 1989. The WTHL holds their first annual All Star game midway through the season.

1990 - Kelly Moroz joins the league.

1991 - Kelly Moroz suspends play.

1993 - John Crupi joins the league.

1994 - Kevin Podolsky joins the league and John Crupi suspends play.

1995 - Brian Podolsky, Ian Klassen and Craig Feschuk join the league.

1996 - Craig Feschuk suspends play.

1999 - The WTHL suspends league play for 4 years.

2002 - League member Kevin Podolsky passes away after a courageous battle with Cancer.

2003 - Jay Cesmystruk and Walter Penner join. The WTHL launch their league website. The WTHL holds their 1st WTHL Challenge Cup tournament to help raise funds for CancerCare Manitoba. The WTHL adds the 2003 Stiga, 2003 Irwin Power Play 2 and 2003 Ice FX games.

2004 - Dave Ruffeski joins the league.

2005 - Scott Routley joins the league.

2006 - Jared Ruffeski and Leo Caronte join the league. The WTHL logo is updated for the first time giving it a more modern look. The WTHL adds the 2006 Capizzi F/R One custom game.

2007 - Jerry Gornik joins the league.

2008 - Jeff Langelier joins the league. The WTHL adds the 2008 Carleco 5380 custom game.

2009 - The WTHL suspends league play for 1 year.

2010 - Darcy Hodgins and Matt Klassen join. The WTHL adds the 1959 Eagle NHL Power Play Electric, 1965 Eagle NHL Power Play Hockey H-120, 1972 Munro Bobby Hull Hockey and 1990 Gretzky OT Hockey games.

2011 - Darren Lincoln and Rob Drummond join the league and Ian Klassen suspends play.

2012 - Mike Subchak joins the league.

2013 - Mark Mutawe, Scott Turner and Jamie Gillis join the league. After a 9 year hiatus, the WTHL resumes play of the annual WTHL Challenge Cup tournament. The WTHL adds the 1971 Coleco 5340, 1973 Coleco 5383 Trophy Hockey, 2011 Sportcraft, 2013 Capizzi 5340 custom game, 2013 Regent-Halex custom game, 2013 Capizzi Stiga custom game and 2013 Benej games. The WTHL adds a new website, www.winnipegtablehockeyleague.com for their league website.

2014 - Dan Bauer and Kevin Lysak join the league and Matt Klassen suspends play. The WTHL adds the 2014 Super Chexx, 1970 Munro 902 Pro Hockey and 1954 Cresta games.

2015 - The WTHL introduces the WTHL Winter Classic and the WTHL Winter Stadium games. Darian Boyce, Dean Turman, Scott Campbell, Dean Chevrier, Jared Fitzpatrick and Rick Ward join the league and Mike Subchuk suspends play. The WTHL logo is updated for the 2nd time keeping the star background but changing the position of the goalie. The WTHL adds the 1957 Eagle NHL Pro Hockey 520 game.

2016 - After a 21 year hiatus, the WTHL All Star game returns. The WTHL introduces the WTHL Heritage Classic game and the WTHL World Cup of Hockey Tournament. The WTHL is invited to demonstrate the game of table hockey at the PHE Physical and Health Educators of Manitoba Conference. Jerry Gornik, Dave Ruffeski, Jared Ruffeski, Jared Fitzpatrick, Rob Campbell, Darcy Hodgins, Scott Turner and Rick Ward suspend play. The WTHL adds the 1955 Aristospel Aristo Puck 4, 1965 Eagle NHL Stars H-90, 1967 Stiga, 1972 Coleco 5388 Game Room Hockey, 1972 Munro Pro League Hockey, 1981 Bock Plast Ky Pola 400 and the 2016 Stiga Playoff Hockey games.

2017 -

WTHL - Est. 1989

The WTHL is invited to demonstrate the game of Table Hockey at the PHE Physical and Health Educators of Manitoba Conference. Joe Maksymowicz, Jayson Goetting and Josh Langelier join the league.

2018 - The WTHL unveils a new look modern website. The WTHL joins Twitter @WTHLTableHockey and FaceBook. The WTHL is invited to demonstrate the game of Table Hockey at the PHE Physical and Health Educators of Manitoba Conference. Derek Colbrough joins the league. The WTHL adds the 2017 Stiga 60th Anniversary Limited Edition, 2018 Stiga 21 Peter Forsberg Edition, 1961 Eagle NHL Power Play 540, 1961 Eagle NHL Electric Hockey 560 and the Vintage German made 1963 Perma 4020 games. Kevin Lysak suspends play.

2019 -

WTHL - Est. 1989

The WTHL celebrate their 30th Anniversary. Also during the season, the WTHL is invited to participate and demonstrate the game of Table Hockey at Rogers Home Town Hockey in Steinbach, Manitoba, at the NHL Jets Fan Fest at the Bell MTS Iceplex and at the PHE Physical and Health Educators of Manitoba Conference at the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. Daniel Vincent joins the league. The WTHL logo is updated for the 3rd time changing the color of the star from a navy blue to an aviator blue. The WTHL adds the 1954 Original Table Hockey game from Munro, 1963 Canadian Munro with 3D players and the 1959 Eagle Power Play games.

2020 - With the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the WTHL postpones the majority of the 2020 season. The WTHL joins Instagram @Winnipeg Table Hockey League. The WTHL adds the 1988 Coleco Game Room and the 2020 SoHo Classic games.

2021 - The WTHL adds the 1961 Gotham G-1600, the 1963 Leningrad Sports Products Xokken and the 1969 Tudor NHLPA All Star 730 games. The WTHL Hall of Fame inducts its first 6 members. The inaugural inductees include Tony Capizzi, Sal Capizzi, Brian Clement, Antonio Capizzi, Mike Capizzi and Zachary Mesman.

2022 - The WTHL introduces the WTHL Thanksgiving Showdown game. The WTHL logo is updated for the 4th time by giving it a more modern look with Table Hockey rods making up one point of the star. Jay Cesmystruk becomes the 7th member inducted into the WTHL Hall of Fame. Jack Cesmystruk joins the league. The WTHL adds the 1959 Gotham G-1200 and the 2022 Carleco 5380 games.

2023 - The WTHL adds the 1973 Tudor Model 700 game. Donald VanLandegham joins the league.

2024 - The WTHL celebrates its 35th anniversary. Jeff Langelier becomes the 8th member inducted into the WTHL Hall of Fame.
